These boots are comfortable, but I have gone through boot laces like craze. The eyelets shred right through the laces.

A little hard to break in. Hurt me at the ankle on the outside but I'm bowlegged so I figure that accounted for the discomfort. I stuck with them and after a few days, they were broke in and fit real well. Maybe a little foam padding on the outside of the uppers would solve the problem.

Merrell shoes are known for their comfort and durability and I will personally atest to this. I am a jock who has had major foot problems but love Merrells for these reasons. Once you find your first pair, you are hooked!
